Remove the @username from BuddyPress profiles

  I have tried for hours now to try and get the @username removed from the members profiles for security reasons. I cant find it anywhere, can someone help me please.

  It is in the members/single/members-header.php file:

  <h1 class="entry-title fn"><a href="<?php bp_user_link() ?>"><?php bp_displayed_user_fullname() ?></a></h1> <span class="highlight">(@<?php bp_displayed_user_username() ?>)</span>

  This is a very old topic and is way out of date.

  The Mingle theme no longer uses custom BuddyPress templates so the file you would need to edit will be a part of the BuddyPress plugin.
