Audio post format doesn’t work with Soundcloud

  Hi Guys,

  Audio post format doesn’t work with soundcloud. Soundcloud is extremely popular.
  You can paste the widget code from soundcloud into the post body. But that won’t display it at the top of the post like a proper audio post format.
  Any idea?

  For me, both the Link and the Widget Code supplied by Soundcloud work perfectly when pasted into my post or page content.

  I’m not sure about the WordPress Code though, this looks like it will need a plugin because I’ve not heard that WordPress has an inbuilt [soundcloud] shortcode.

  I’m talking about the audio post format of Moxie’s theme.
  You have the place to insert audio link right at the top.
  If you do that, the audio player will show up when viewing the whole blog list. (replace featured image)
  
  Example: http://para.llel.us/themes/moxie-wp/blog/
  The post: Could be a Leprechaun? [audio]
  You can play the audio straight from the blog list. You don’t need to go to a post to listen to it.
  
  I know that the link and widget code will work when you paste into the body of a post.
  However, that means it won’t show up at the top when viewing blog list.

  There is no simple way to do this, but @andy may consider a feature like this in the future.
