Moxie v1.3.39 is now available for download via your ThemeForest download page.

How to update the theme

Remember to backup your entire website (files and database) before updating. To update you will need FTP access to your website.

   - Download the latest version from your ThemeForest downloads area.
   - Unzip the file that you downloaded.
   - Find the latest version in the WordPress folder (theme-moxie-v1.3.39.zip) and unzip it.
   - Use FTP to replace the old wp-content/themes/parallelus-moxie folder with the new one.
   - Go to Dashboard > Updates and click the Check again link to see if updates to the theme’s required plugins are available.
All available updates will then be listed and you can update items directly from that page.

IMPORTANT → The best way to guarantee a complete and proper update is to use FTP to delete the existing Moxie theme folder on your server and then upload the new theme folder from your computer to your server. Any changes you’ve made to the theme’s files will be lost. None of your theme settings, WordPress settings or other data (such as articles) will be affected because this is all stored in your website’s database.

IMPORTANT → If you are using a child theme don’t forget to also update the child theme’s ‘assets’ and ‘data’ folders with the updated ‘assets’ and ‘data’ folders in the parent theme.

IMPORTANT → After updating, please refresh your browser’s caches so that it is not using old, cached versions of the theme’s CSS and JavaScript files. http://www.refreshyourcache.com/en/cache/

What’s new in this update

– Updated Slider Revolution to v6.5.15.
– Updated WPBakery Page Builder to v6.8.0.

About plugin updates

We (Parallelus) have purchased extended licenses for some plugins that come with this theme. This enables us to package them with our theme, and because you have a license for our theme you are allowed (as part of our extended license for the plugins) to use these plugins free of charge with our theme.

From time to time you may see in your WordPress admin that one of the theme’s required or recommended plugins has an update available. You will not be able to update one of these plugins independently of a theme update, you will need to wait until we publish a theme update. Whenever we publish a theme update we always try to include in the update the latest stable versions of the theme’s required and recommended plugins. If you feel that you want to be able to update a plugin as soon as an update for it becomes available you will need to purchase a personal license for the plugin.

Sometimes you may see messages in your admin put there by one or more of the theme’s required and recommended plugins about registering or activating the license to get automatic updates or enhanced features or premium benefits and so on. You cannot register any of these plugins, or activate a license for any of these plugins, unless you purchase a personal license for the plugin.

We cannot prevent these plugins displaying messages in your admin. We understand that you may find it confusing, but there is nothing we can do about it, it is the plugins themselves that are displaying these messages.

We hope this clears up any questions you may have about updating the theme’s required and recommended plugins.

Theme update notifications

Themes purchased from ThemeForest cannot use the normal WordPress notifications and updates system. This is not something we can control, we do not operate the ThemeForest website.

On your ThemeForest downloads page you’ll see an option you can enable that will send you an email every time a theme is updated.

Alternatively, Envato has made a plugin you can use to help keep themes purchased from ThemeForest up to date.

You can download it from here. → https://envato.com/market-plugin/

(Envato is the company that owns and operates the ThemeForest website.)

Thanks.
