Main content not responsive to mobile

    @jeffw , I’m not suggesting for one second that the problem is with the theme … and the reason I sent you the css , albeit in the incorrect manner I do apologise, is that I feared I may have something there that was causing the problem. I have removed the css for fixed width of footer and i understand its too wide thank you for that … however this still does not solve my main query … why my layouts are not showing on mobile device as I have constructed them , 4 1/4 containers each with a static block … I want 4 images to appear across from ech other in four separate columns as they appear on desktop , not all on one column as they appear on mobile device? Also I cannot zoom on my mobile device?

    Columns will stack on phone displays, that’s how the theme works. I looked at this home page → http://headstarthairsalontrim.com on my phone and I didn’t see two columns anywhere. The content in the footer on that website are images, not columns.

    I don’t know why you cannot zoom on your phone. Do you also have the same problem on our demo website? → http://para.llel.us/themes/razor-wp/ Also, please refer to this post which explains about user scalability → http://para.llel.us/support/groups/razor/forum/topic/enlargingzooming-into-screen-on-mobile-devices-by-pinching/#post-44992

    Im talking about the main content On home page headstarthairsalontrim.com. I have included 1/2 container on the home page layout and it shows perfectly on my mobile phone. In left 1/2 container I have a static block with two photos “our services” and ” shop with us ” , in the right 1/2 container I have a static block with two photos “hair care at homw” ans ” wow” … these show exactly as I want them on my phone . ie two photos side by side and beneath two more photos side by side …. this is exactly what I want to do with my images on ebonyrose.ie … I simply want to see my 4 photos side by side on my mobile device so I divided my page layout in 1/4 containers similar to headstarthairsalontrim but its not looking right for me.Regarding the zoom … yes I have the same problem with your demo site … I cannot zoom to make the font or images larger on my phone for instance … however I can zoom on headstarthairsalontrim site

    The zoom works on the http://headstarthairsalontrim.com website because you have removed the viewport meta tag from the header template. That is also why the columns are not stacking on that website.

    Please refer to this post which explains about user scalability (i.e. zoom) → http://para.llel.us/support/groups/razor/forum/topic/enlargingzooming-into-screen-on-mobile-devices-by-pinching/#post-44992

    It’s at the top of the ‘header-default.php’ template. It looks like this…

    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1, maximum-scale=1">

    Keep in mind that if you modify core theme files then each time you update the theme you will need to make all of those modifications again to the updated theme files.
