    hey guys,
pretty new to vellum, but have been fiddling around with stuff.

I would like to have this effect
    https://markmanson.net/5-books-that-explain-why-it-seems-the-world-is-so-fucked?fbclid=IwAR2v59Lp7VLmPB2ZpaUzHKjvZMytWG2ofWGKH9-5shQnn5jJrJPxfazcbp4

where there is a giant image preceding the blog post.

this is the page I’ve been playing around with
    https://doof.life/gabriel-robinson-a-k-a-scionaugh/

as you can see I tried to follow the tutorial about header image but ended up with a weird page.

    please help if you can.
    thank you for your time

The way with Vellum to emulate the page you reference would be to add a header that uses a full-screen slideshow for its content, then set the post to use that header. The post title and meta data would need to be added to the slideshow as a text layer.

So the general technique would be…

         - Create a new full-screen slideshow that includes a background image and a text layer for the post title and any meta data.
         - Create a new header and set its Content Source 1 option to reference the new slideshow you just created.
         - Edit the post and in its Content Options metabox set the Header option to reference the new header you just created.

You would do that for every post you want to have an image at the top that covers the entire browser window.

Let me know if you need more help with this.

P.S. I couldn’t see the page on your site: 404 Not Found.

Legend! Thank you mate; I’ll give it a whirl when I get home..
Yeh I was trying to mess around with the page/post etc so it probably went away..
I kinda achieved the effect by using negative padding around the image with wpbakery, but it’s messed up the readability on mobile phones https://doof.life/6407-2/
