jeffw said It looks to me like all your portfolio posts are set to the Gallery post format, and none of them has any images set for the gallery. You probably need to set your portfolio posts to the Standard post format. To do that edit the portfolio post, click on the Standard tab at the top and then click the Update button to re-save the post… Do the same for all other portfolio posts that you want to display the featured image.

Or are you saying that those posts do have galleries and the Gallery post format isn’t working properly?
jeffw said @parkerweb The version of PHP running on your server must have been updated. I’ve run some tests on my Vellum sandbox site and the Gallery post format works okay with up to and including PHP v7.0.x, but it stops working with PHP v7.1+. I’ll start a ticket for this with our development team, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I know more. Thanks for pointing this out so we can get it fixed.

You must have customised the templates to stop the slideshow autoplaying.
